Excellent!

Spector 360 is a powerful and comprehensive employee monitoring software offering excellent and wide features while keeping it easy to use.

User Rating: 4.88 ( 3 votes)

Although they comprise less than one percent of a company’s total work population, “rogue employees” pose grave threats to business owners as they could explode like atomic bombs and just ruin an entire business. Spector 360 is one of the most promising solutions I found whilst I’m facing the same predicament. Although setting up CCTV’s wouldn’t hurt, I’d like to become a bit discreet in my approach and opted to get my hands on this software. This review would somehow give you a glimpse of how Spector 360 would work for you as well.

To get things straight, Spector 360 is an Employee Monitoring Software. Chances are, you’ve hired someone who’s got some dirty little tricks going on his desk, or if you’re confident enough that you’ve hired trustworthy employees, don’t let your guards down and be prepared because circumstances might sometimes create a rogue one for you. On the lighter note though, Spector 360 will also provide you with an avenue to reward productive employees and analyze their professional activities so you could incorporate these activities to your company practices. Spector 360 helps a lot in mitigating the above-mentioned risks, as well as provides a tool for an improved problem-solving process.

Features of Spector 360

This software is equipped with a lot of really useful features, but I’ll be listing down below those that I find really helpful.

Snapshot Playback
This is by far my most favourite thus putting it first on this review. Whether you are a tech savvy or someone having average computer skills, nothing will really go wrong with using snapshots as an employee activity monitor. With this pc monitor software taking hundreds of snapshots an hour (this can be actually adjusted according to your preferred interval), you will be able to visually monitor the pages that have been navigated to, files transferred, emails sent and received, and any other activity on the employee’s PC.

Keyword Detection
In corporate fraud or in any other forms of information theft, files that are “sacred” to the company has this distinct flow of keywords embedded intentionally (or not) along the lines. Using this feature, you can create a list of those “red light” keywords. When someone keys in a listed keyword in an email, IM, web browsing, it then sends an alert through an email, complete with data about which keyword, time stamps, and just about the occurrence of the keyword in text or email for example. Another amazing thing about this, is it triggers the software’s snapshot feature to increase frequency thus giving you an almost “motion picture” report.

Web Filtering
This one’s pretty much understandable, but sometimes, however you would want to impose this to employees, they’d somehow find a way to access Facebook (on working hours). Not only will you be able to set up a computer activity monitor, this software empowers you to impose such rules, giving no one the chance to break it, but still enjoy a harmonious working relationship together. You can ultimately block X-rated sites and the like, whilst you have the option to allow social media sites (or “relaxation sites” as my employees call it) during breaks. I believe in that way, everything’s fair enough.

Analyze User Behavior
One ultimately useful thing about Spector is the reports dashboard, it would deem it very impossible for all the other features to be useful without it. So the application uses a user-friendly interface with properly-labelled tabs for easy navigation. Now for the monitoring part, of course you don’t just monitor one employee, the “analyzer” has the capacity to convert user activities into graphical charts and or comprehensive reports for easy employee behaviour analysis.

Other features I won’t go in depth in this review include Global Keyword Search, Investigate Abuse, Secure Archiving, and Advanced Reporting.

Uses and Benefits of Using Spector 360

  • Arrest, mitigate, safe-guard your business from bad employee practices that will directly impact your business.
  • Encourage trustworthy employees to stick to the good side of doing things, analyzing such good employee behaviour can also help the company draw holistic behavioural improvement plans.
  • Provide proactive protection to you employees’ and your business interests by setting up goals based on factual and well calculated behavioural data.

Conclusion
Things may not always go our way, but Spector 360 could definitely provide us clearer tracks to follow for when we need direction in moving forward, and dots to connect backwards when things have been messed up. In this review I hope I was able to offer you glimpses of light; you and your business deserve the best.
